Liverpool's Star Issues Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Discloses Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward apologised to the team in the wake of the controversy from his public comments.
What Happened
Salah was left out from a vital match after voicing frustrations and stating his connection to the head coach had soured.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”
The head coach has chosen not to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the player.
Moving Forward
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” the midfielder explained.
Jones also suggested that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “I understand there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”
Team Form
Their results have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the initial controversy. The player is convinced the Salah's words were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a good place,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and on a positive run.”
