LA Erupts in Jubilation as Dodgers Claim Second World Series Championship
The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide united with local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos show countless of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy high.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

In contrast, the team owner was met with a less warm welcome at the celebration. Video footage from the gathering seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a combination of applause and jeers, with jeers punctuating his speech.
The championship acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year showed as much if not more support.
